5th Gear: I think everybody building trucks is going to need to look at moving to traction motors at every wheel (or at least the back two) with an engine just driving a generator like they do with trains. The heavy equipment guys are moving that way now, it's only a matter of time until more road vehicles do that.

I had that same poster and now I drive a Toyota.

Something about a flathead that just feels right to me.

It’ll be a miracle if Chris Evans survives past this year. Everybody else has been getting better every episode.

Holy shit. Just when you forget how crazy sprint cars are you see something like this.

I know it's just a Miata but it looks a lot better than a Miata in my book.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised that when GM comes out with their Aluminum trucks that they line the bed with steel instead. Like you said I don't really have a problem with their methodology but it they're not careful it will come back to bite them.

I traded a 07 Edge in for my truck and get better mileage in the truck driving back and forth to work than I did in my Edge. Not much better but 1mpg is still something.

Alright everybody get the torches and pitchforks ready. I had a '94 XJ and it was bar none the most unreliable hunk of crap I've ever owned. I went through 2 transfer cases, 3 radiators and countless oil pressure sensors. You haven't lived until you have to drive down the road in July with the heater cranked just so

I go about 10-14 days between fill-ups with my truck depending on how much running around I do on the weekend. Sure a small car would be even more but I'm ok with that.

I was in high school in the 90's so I’ve had a lot of fun riding around in a probe. Still that’s like every 90's custom job threw up on this particular car.

Doc does some really interesting things.

Meh there was a guy running around in a 4x4 corvette when I was a kid that looked like this.

I can’t say I’m surprised. It’s no different than being the guy who follows a legendary coach in sports, that’s a tough spot to be in for anybody. Evans doesn’t do a whole lot for me but I’m pretty ok with the rest of the cast up to this point. I know I’m going to get crucified for saying this around here but this

Admittedly it's been a couple years since I passed through DFW but from what I recall being the best restaurant would entail being better than a Pizza Hut express.

Too bad they don't get the F1 boys in NBCSN to do the Indycar races they have too. They call the F1 races from Bristol(or someplace in Connecticut) so why not the Indycar races too?

That’s taking the awesome way out if you ask me.

Not that either of us will ever be in this position but if you had a choice between a ride with a top tier Indycar team or a backmarker F1 team would you really pick the backmarker? I'd take that Indycar drive in a heartbeat.

You sure he isn't the Stigs American cousin?

Unless he gets a shot at a mid-field team in F1 or better I think he'd be better off sticking around in Indycar personally.
