Oh, thank god. I can’t wait till the mostly-terrible multicam sitcom format dies of old age. Barely anyone does barely anything good with it these days, and it became mostly a “hey remember when we all liked those” kind of TV nostalgia machine which also leans towards conservative mindset, with a lot of its material…
They are family after all. Which is a weird sentence.
Sure, couldn’t help but call herself an outsider. She’s certainly not an outsider from the point of view of rich vs poor. How do people not realize that the real “outsiders” are marginalized people, not more uber rich capitalists whose interests are directly protected by the government upholding a capitalist regime?
Who would imagine that being a giant sleaze wouldn’t be considered cool in 2030?
Considering that HIMYM aged like milk in the last few years, with a lot of it now considered rather tone deaf, I’m not sure that reviving this franchise is such a great idea. They’ll make it modern, of course, but they’ll also keep reminding everyone about the old show.
Damn, that’s a huge loss.
I found it hilarious that this show, being a no longer culturally relevant relic of the past, pointed its tired finger at Morrissey, who is also a no longer culturally relevant relic of the past, and shouted in its least nuanced voice, “LOOK, A NO LONGER CULTURALLY RELEVANT RELIC OF THE PAST”.
So I watched the first two episodes of the season and, unlike the review claimed, I was reminded why I got so disgusted with this show.
This one still hits hard even a year later. There was just so much warmth to him.
I had a pleasure of seeing this on a huge screen, so I had the chance to be absolutely mesmerized by the beauty of cinematography of this movie. Putting McDormand among non-actors who actually live this life was such a stunning choice and it worked wonders and never felt even a little bit stilted. I felt like this…
I still cannot stand that song. It’s unwieldy, uncomfortably produced and mismatched as all four of the performers seem to be stuck in their own songs. Hated it in 2001, was really annoyed at how big it was, still don’t have any nice thoughts about it. I’m glad it didn’t become a pop classic at least.
“Threatened”, right. I feel threatened, in a way, by your fragile masculinity, because the more you and people like you keep putting down women for speaking up against abuse, the angrier you lot keep looking.
It’s no Hamlet, I’ll tell you that.
Could you be even more condescending?
Pretending that you can’t read. Good job.
Nice job dismissing everyone who disagrees with you.
Seems like it. Found my comment “pending approval”. Nice going, morons.
And it seems like it’s becoming a prevailing point of view in this comments section. Feels like the article is being brigaded or something.
I’ll take your word for it, but I’m watching this show to the end out of sheer curiosity and habit. To me it became irredeemable around the time of the “haha, beastiality is a great punchline” episode.
