I still watch a handful of ABC comedies as a habit, they’re comfort food even without the powerhouse that was The Middle, although I grew tired of The Goldbergs a couple of seasons ago. Speechless is still great and is one of the best sitcoms around. And yeah, Superstore.

I, for one, don’t mind that it’s becoming more and more common for shows to take more than a year between seasons. It leaves some breathing space for us, crazy shows-watchers in an era when Netflix overloads us with content. Although I still wish breathing space would come at the expense of network shows’ 22-episode…

I’m fine with it. It’s a story, not an endless show, unlike, say, Daredevil that could’ve always come up with more storylines. I like that it has a beginning, a middle and an end.
