You sound like fun.

Oh hey, look, it’s “that guy”

Although I despise Vincent Gallo for his public persona, I do love the story between him and Ebert over their feud with Brown Bunny.

That’s an obvious lie. He gave positive reviews to multiple slashers. He gave Halloween 4/4 stars. Most slashers are garbage, and giving bad reviews to garbage movies is not “moral panic.”

Well to be fair he was, likely though not convicted, of also probably attempting to abuse a minor. So there is that.

Yeah she’s too dumb to realize she’s not going to win in a star-power fight with Pedro Fucking Pascal.

The “boop/beep” thing was a direct insult to Pedro Pascal, after he put pronouns in his bio as a show of support for his trans sister. Publicly attacking the star of the hugely successful show you somehow landed a part on is exactly the kind of stupid-as-shit career move that leads directly to working for Ben Shapiro.

Maybe we just think Across the Spider-Verse was bloated, poorly structured, and inferior to its predecessor? It is possible, you know.

Hard disagree on that.  If The Boy and the Heron was up against Into the Spiderverse,  that would be a hard choice but not this match up.  I liked Across the Spiderverse a ton but The Boy and the Heron was just a better film

I feel like this was just recently announced to spite Pizzolatto, which, good.

Coming from Pizzolatto I’d say it’s probably half misogyny, half egomaniac showrunner/control freak.

This thread is worth a read on the subject.

face the truth nerd. it’s over

tons of people are currently loving the hell out of The Marvels now that it’s on Disney”

Pizzolatto:

‘”Idk if it’s a hot take, but I think Matthew Vaughn is a decent mainstream director who desperately wants to be punk rock, but has nothing to say and no real style of his own. So he just comes off as a cheap Guy Ritchie knockoff.”’

Might be a hot take if it weren’t so objectively true.

Idk if it's a hot take, but I think Matthew Vaughn is a decent mainstream director who desperately wants to be punk rock, but has nothing to say and no real style of his own. So he just comes off as a cheap Guy Ritchie knockoff.

I’d say declaring “I’m a terf and proud” in the midst of seismic anti-trans laws denying basic human rights getting passed is advocating for something incredibly terrible, but hey that’s just me.

Chappelle had no part in Saturdays show - why should be be onstage during goodbyes/credits? There was no bow for him to take because he didn’t do shit. There was a time I liked Dave Chappelle and his work (knowing a little about how he grew up), there was a time I hated his work - but this is a time for not giving a
