i get the impression that, with the right marketing push and capitalizing on brendan fraser’s oscar win, batgirl might have made more money theatrically than flash will.

Which still doesn’t make abuse OK.
Got it. Abusive workplaces are fine because a lot of workplaces do it.
Geez Phil, nice of you to drop by!
Got it. Abusive workplaces are fine if you enjoy the product.
His second point is more important than the first, and likely dead on.
There hasn’t been a single entry of Henry as Superman that you weren’t reminded of Snyderverse. He always talks the same, acts the same, the costume is the same, nothing ever changes. Jason Mamoa and Gal Gadot were at least able to momentarily…
There were similar reports with The Witcher, and that was apparently enough of a problem that they ended up replacing him with a Lesser Spotted Hemsworth, so... *shrugs*
I thought it was awesome. “Tough shit! Its science!”
Hopefully this is the final nail in the coffin of pretending that Sam Levinson has anything interesting or even worthwhile to say (which somehow hasn’t happened despite him writing and directing an absolute navel-gazing turd like Malcom & Marie). I like Euphoria but it’s carried entirely on the shoulders of its…
His best work by far is still The Impossible.
I randomly watched a series about her traveling around Australia meeting people from all walks of life, leading up to her achieving Australian citizenship. She’s a charming lady.
I completely believe Robert Downey Jr. when he says that Mel Gibson helped him during the lowest points of his life and helped him get sober.
I understand why Barsanti was one of the few to move to L.A. It’s not like anyone else was going to pay his talentless self to do anything. Katie Rife should be a good warning sign to him to hang onto this gig for as long as he can - based on her twitter I assume she’s working at a GAP or something.
I’m not really well-versed enough in it yet to speak very authoritatively about it, but it looks like Jasika Nicole had a pretty rough time from the showrunners and writing in general. (some of it was apparent while watching - namely the tone-deaf recurring gag of Walter endlessly getting a black woman’s name wrong,…
Whedon also didn’t do himself any favors with his response to Gal Gadot’s complaints about his sexist behavior towards her, basically “It was all her fault because she can’t English good.”
Lindelof is at least willing to reflect and realize he probably was a dick.
“Watchmen” in particular was so well executed that I have to forgive Lindelof for the Star Treks and Prometheus and Lost and assume that they were all killed by committee.
Darrell Hammond made a memorable impression with a barely-there character on the drama Damages. He didn’t have a lot of lines, but that “odd, remote” presence you describe was put to good use and he managed to make “putting on chapstick” into a memorable and creepy character tic. Ever since then I hoped to see him in…
In the second season of Damages, Hammond actually played a (Mike from Breaking Bad type) professional cleaner, and the removed demeanor you just described is why I found him so memorable in the role. He was effectively -and intentionally- creepy.
