The Leftovers was the best thing on tv this year even when it was blatantly playing the audience like a fiddle or getting lost in its own arse. I dont care if it gets no awards because it is done, however its leads deserve recognition for putting those performances into the world.

I agree it hinders more than helps. And in a completely unrelated note I have, for some odd reason, a craving for a spooky Big Mac??? It’s all a conspiracy I tell ya!!!

About a year ago we had all of those clown “sightings.” Granted, they resulted in nothing and many experts come to the conclusion the kids are lying because adults never saw one.

Criminally overlooked: Legion...it’s a damn crime it wasn’t nominated for something!

Well, I have never seen The Room, and I laughed my ass off at this trailer. Especially the “And maybe he’s a vampire” line. I can’t watch the original movie because I suffer from extreme second-hand embarrassment, but if it just someone pretending to be someone with unheard of levels of self delusion, I think I could

I don’t know; if I didn’t know who he was and saw this trailer, I’d be down, I think. It looks funny, and folks can identify with a scrappy outsider trying to make it. Even if that outsider is a millionaire with a bizarre accent who may or may not be Dracula.

tbh he should thank god every day that he even has onscreen roles. He’s an ok screenwriter but a god awful actor

Maybe it’s an American thing but I’d never heard of Marmaduke before that movie came out and became an instant punchline.

Sort of on-topic, as he was named in the article, but I saw a report on potentially the reason Treverrow was let go.

I wonder if the sequel will adapt a classic Wondy story. (Hellooooooo, where’s Cheetah?) Or will they just take another superhero flick’s script and substitute WW’s roster of characters? You know, just like the first movie.

Way to be a major asshole on an obituary, you don’t have to have liked his writing but to act like he wasn’t hugely influential in the industry and contributed a lot to comics is just insane

You’re commenting on the wrong feature. I’d blame Kinja, since someone else did it immediately above you.

The Greek Chorus of Simmons and Rasche were my favorite part about Burn After Reading for exactly that reason - two normal people commenting on how stupid and unnecessary the entire affair had been.

Shame about Clooney’s directorial career. Two promising films at the beginning followed by a parade of turds. No reason to see him as anything but a lousy director at this point.

He stopped doing that without fanfare a number of months ago. I remember it being a shock to several regular posters who noticed.

Also Jeph Loeb hasn’t written anything good in a LOOOONG time.

reminds me of the wire where every penultimate episode was written by george pelecanos and were all devastating.

Congrats, he’s got nowhere to go but HUNKA HUNKA up.

I wonder if it’s a rule with the writers that the penultimate episode has to be the most devastating of the season? And so far, each season has shown us how much lower Bojack can get even when we thought he already hit rock bottom.

His best work in the last 20 years has been directing some TV shows in a manner that did not betray that he was the one who directed them. He did a handful of decent episodes that were utterly unnotable for their direction.
