The sadness though is that the feud was always entirely one sided. His grey matter people were totally willing to pay for Walt’s entire treatment but he turned them down. It was his ego. He tells his son eventually he spent decades obsessively watching the stock price. 

It’s particularly great they establish that black and white is the present, and those tapes start with starkly bright colour in season 1. Each season adds more and more black and white to the tape footage. 

I think it was also fitting how Saul remembers the worst parts of Walt. It's stark contrast to Jesse remembering a largely happy meeting with Walt in the ending of el camino. Saul has good reason to remember to worst of Walter. Jesse had his issues with Walter, but he also had a lot of good left in his memories. 

It was beautiful how even when Walter got past the "time travel isn't scientific" rant, his one thing he wishes he could change was grey matter. That's just who Walter was in the end. A man hung up on one bad business decision decades ago.

Often the visual quality will be extremely lousy as well. Which is why I dismiss stupid batgirl feedback like "it looked like a bad tv show" when every movie looks like crap at first.

It got ridiculous on boardwalk empire in the first couple of seasons when Nucky had that live in escort girlfriend, who existed on the show solely so she could strip naked in every scene regardless of context. 

To be fair, MGM was going through a financial crisis and that delayed hobbit by a year or so. Del toro was rightfully unwilling to hang around new Zealand away from his family for an indefinite time period, so that’s why he left hobbit. Ed Harris has indicated season 5 will be the end. Unless they’ve greenlit it but not announced it, it’s unclear if that’s a plan or already a done deal. HBO tends to indulge their talent up to a point, and I can see HBO letting the show wrap up peacefully if it’s under their control. 

I love James Gunn and I love DC, but I wouldn't mind if Gunn parted ways with them completely. Discovery is already running the company into the ground. They don't deserve Gunn.
