Little shop of horrors, bowfinger and death at a funeral are all pretty subversive.

Absolutely agree there. New Zari annoyed the hell out of me at first (I think that was intentional) but I loved both how she became far more likable and how they brought back the older one. It was such a stunning unique concept for a time travel show, to have one actor play two versions of the same character,

I haven’t read this 2017 comment in years, but it really is hysterical that they even got Finn Wolfhard for the new ghostbusters.

The most ingenuous thing they ever did in regards to casting was taking the fairly drab vixen in season 3 and instead using her actor to play the shapeshifting demon who joined their crew in seasons 4 and 5. For me the best thing in season 7 was seeing Matt Ryan play a starkly different character from Constantine and

I just last night finished watching LOT for the first time, and while season 7 wasn’t particularly strong (presumably covid and budget cuts greatly limited the show), I’m still deeply sad it’s over. As cliffhangers go, season 7 didn’t end too badly, but it’s probably the only show I can think of that so naturally

I enjoyed Pacific Rim uprising as an enjoyable dumb giant robot monster movie, but that screenplay was absolutely atrocious and all involved should hang their heads in shame.

For me, the one funny thing about this trilogy was how BD Wong had a brief, throwaway character in the first jurassic park nearly 30 years ago, and he ended up being brought back for a small but pivotal three movie arc in this trilogy. So now the jurassic movies stand as a monument to how BD Wong went from a small

There’s something strangely depressing about reading what a difficult shoot this was, how they were all battling covid and managed to overcome the odds, only to complete a movie that by all accounts isn’t very good.

I really love Ted Levine as the warden. "Have you been enjoying God's gift?"

The guy Mark Wahlberg played in the departed.

Considering he was regularly working with major actors like Alan Alda, Edie Falco, Steve Buscemi and more prior to the controversy and now he’s made a movie starring a bunch of near nobodies, it’s at least reassuring that far fewer famous people are willing to work for Louis CK.

As far as I can tell, those developers just burst out of nowhere. English doesn't even seem to be their primary language, which makes the Thomas pynchon level insane complexity of the writing even more staggering. I'm glad I got the final cut, since that has endless and hysterical narration, but even that narrator

I’m just on day 3, and I seem to have established a rapport with Kim. He’s such a remarkable character, but then every character is. I’m happily making my Harry a loopy Twin peaks mad man, and I’m balancing absurdity with actual detective work, which is making for a unique double act between Harry and Kim. Cuno is a

Ah, got it. I remember a lot of torchwood being weird, but I haven't seen it for a long time and seem to have intentionally forgotten most of it. I mainly only remember that children of earth miniseries, since that was significantly better than the first two seasons in every way possible.

I’ve forgotten so much about torchwood. He was a rapist? I remember he was a jerk, but a rapist?

Like practically everything in episode 9, I’m almost certain Babu was like a star wars parody thing. Mocking the fanbase for wanting safety over risk. But I did laugh really hard when Babu pops up in the cockpit of a ship during the big finale battle.

I’ve finally started playing disco elysium and holy hell, disco elysium is freaking incredible. One day of in game time and this already one of the best written and most hilarious games I’ve ever played.

The LA times recently did an article about the new discovery CEO that opens with him apparently getting pissy that the studio gave Clint Eastwood money to make cry macho despite not being a commercial movie. The studio defended this as being a worthwhile investment, because the budget was small and Eastwood is a

He’ll likely just be on a throne, giving orders and looking cool. Hopefully with a ridiculous outfit that walken will make incredible.

Two little mice, fell into a bucket of cream.
