I mean, the prevalence of red and blue pills makes total sense, since those are, you know, critical story elements of the franchise. The fact that monsters stole the red pill imagery in reality doesn’t lock off the filmmaker that made them from using them how she wishes.

It’s sad to lose him, but Smith despite his glorious joyful energy is exhibit A for “great character that was run into the ground”. For all it’s faults, I’m fine with Revolutions being his ending. That film took Smith every conceivable direction they could in terms of evil supervillain plans.

He runs on pure liquid goodness and it makes him effectively immortal.

It's probably noteworthy that Neo and Trinity both died, but are alive and well here, whereas Morpheus survived and yet is absent in his proper form. I'll assume not inviting Fishburne back was a story choice until I see otherwise.

Even at their worst, each of the wachowski sisters is damn talented and make memorable movies. Even if this sucks, it’ll still be worth seeing.

It’s worth noting that Suda had little to nothing to do with Killer is dead and shadows of the damned was so heavily changed by EA that it barely qualifies as a proper Suda game.

To be fair to DP2, the frame rate has improved after patches. Not, you know, significantly so, but it's completely fine now. I'm maybe biased, because DP2 made me laugh so many times and I adore York with all my heart, so some minor shitty frame rate was a happy trade off for me.

This show really is perfect. They’ve adapted every ballsy insane thing possible.

What was he doing on the bloody roof?

Plus that show gave us Lynne, and Alan to me isn’t complete without his long suffering, eternally loyal assistant.

Yeah, give me a second series ya shit!

Kids are annoying. You have to wash the car. Read the papers and you say "Sunday, bloody Sunday!"

David Dastmalchin has rapidly become such a brilliant character actor. His whole life story is incredibly powerful as is the obvious joy he has for his work and getting to work with so many big name filmmakers.

There ought to be a term for when you revisit something you’ve seen before, and realize that an actor who you know very well now was in that thing but you didn’t know who they were at the time.”

Such hard hitting satire like "Prince Harry is out of touch with reality" and "Prince Charles wants to be king but is also a mummy's boy".

At this point it has become farcical how many failed and absurdly nonsensical star trek movie attempts we’ve had. There’s no other way to report this other than snark now.

It's pretty hysterical that Wikipedia needs an entire page called "development of star trek 4" just to catalog all the failed attempts since 2016 to make another star trek movie.

The same thing happened with Letterman as well. According to Bill Carter, Letterman eventually stopped doing rehearsals and simply famolarized himself with the written bits and then played it out on air. It's totally understandable. The late night grind seems stressful and even Carson was worn down by the end.

Given his near child-like persona, it’s kind of remarkable to realize that Conan is rapidly drawing in on 60. It’s understandable then that despite his gleeful approach to life, that Conan is kind of ready to be done with the regular pressures of a late night talk show.

I definitely feel like Alberto had the better story of the two. The father fisherman thing was an unexpectedly emotional element. His design is meant to look so hostile, with his giant frame and his often non-existent eyes. But they show that cares for his daughter deeply and the way he gradually connects to Alberto
