The Doctor catching his shiny new Sonic Screwdriver is one of my top ten air-punching moments of television for 2015.

Indeed. We've had some great actors in the role but, in terms of pure acting talent, Capaldi is most definitely in the top three…. and maybe even the top. He can seemingly do anything that's asked of him with great conviction and there's SO MUCH going on beneath the surface of his performance.

To each our own, of course, but I've currently watched "Hell Bent" more than any of the other episodes this past season. There's just something about it which hits me emotionally the right way. And "The Husbands…" was just a wonderfully fun episode that I enjoyed a lot, with a incredibly heart-warming final act. The

For all of the abuse he may get from certain quarters, these last three episodes have all proved not only what makes this show so great (I'm not sure there's any other show currently airing which could go from the tense horror and mystery of "Heaven Sent" to the outright comedy of "The Husbands Of River Song"), but

That's witchist!

If I could upvote you more than once, I would certainly do so.

Yes, much like they say in Minority Report: everybody puns.

Thank you for all of your reviews this season, Alasdair. I may not always agree with you (I place "Under The Lake" / "Before The Flood" much higher up the list than "The Girl Who Died" / "The Woman Who Lived", for example) but I always enjoy reading your thoughts. As someone who loves the hell out of Doctor Who, I

I love the fact that The Doctor asked how many regenerations, and then wished him luck for the next one, before shooting him. That was a nice moment.

It was so shiny and new! *Heart flutters*

"This is the Bad Pun Police! Step out of the thread with your hands in the air, Nerdherder!"

Couldn't agree more. I hate that two-parter so much that I've never watched it again since its initial airing. I've occasionally watched both the four knocks scene and Ten's regeneration on Youtube, but I can't stomach the rest of it.

I'm a massive fan of Donna. She's my favaorite Nu-Who companion by far, and think she received one of the most tragic exits, but I'm content in the fact that we see her move on and be happy.

Someone on Youtube made the comment that a time machine in the shape of a diner was "dumb".

Interesting to see you place "Apprentice" above "Familiar". Most people I've encountered have favored the second part to the first.

Yeah. They really missed out on the opportunity to have The Doctor make a pun, put on the glasses and then start playing "Won't Get Fooled Again" on his guitar.

Awww . I liked those glasses! (I do love his new screwdriver more, though)

You may be, but some of the TARDIS' former inhabitants apparently aren't!

Yeah, I agree. We've had three really dark episodes in a row and Moffat has managed to impress me a LOT with the final two. If he wants to do a fun, wacky story for Christmas day, I'm on-board.

Yeah. The show actually managed to make me feel sad for a Dalek. *Shakes fist at Moffat*
