I felt like cheering when Thackery finally welcomed Edwards to The Knick with a handshake, after so many scenes in which he was barely acknowledged…. and then I felt like crying with that subsequent final scene. Thanks a lot for burning down my happy place so very quickly, The Knick!

Yeah, she's awesome. I have no idea how they found this actress but they struck gold in that casting decision. I hope she has a long career after this.

I think Randall may be my new most-hated television villain; a position that's been largely empty since Joffrey in Game Of Thrones. I've seen Tobias Menzies in a few things but never seen a performance like this from him. Outstanding work. I completely believed that he could be saved at the end of that speech and felt

I really like this show's soundtrack; specifically the piano piece that plays over some of the scenes. Reminds me of Silent Hill (the game rather than the movie).

Good God. Whatever problems I may have had with this episode; Jenna Louise Coleman seemed to increase in cuteness by about 49.5% here thanks to the costume, and I'm kind of okay with that.

If the first episode had me interested but unsure, the second episode definitely makes me think I'm onboard for this now. It's not insulting my intelligence, the characters are fairly interesting to follow and the mystery is still at "intriguing" rather than "frustrating". I'd like to see where this goes.

I can't be the only one who, when The Doctor reached down to help Clara up a ledge, was briefly fearful that he'd let her go. I guess that's a testament to the way they're writing Twelve and the way Capaldi is playing him. I never know what that sly old alien is going to do next, and that's interesting.

No, Missy is Spider-Man villain Mysterio. Heaven is one of his grand illusions and this is the Marvel/Doctor Who cross-over we've all been waiting for!

Loved Capaldi's snarky delivery of that particular line.

Gave this a go because… well, *Looks at own avatar*, I kind of had to. It's messy but intriguing, Could mature into something special or fall apart after three episodes. I'll probably give it that long, simply because I'm intrigued by it.

I wasn' sold on this series in the first two episodes but I have to admit that I really enjoyed this week's instalment. I haven't read the books but I think they've done a really good job with Claire, both in the casting and the writing, which is essential for keeping the audience's attention.

Agreed. This was, by far, Jenna Louise Coleman's finest work on the show and that was largely thanks to the script.

She obviously didnt "love" Doctor Who. She loved Matt Smith. A true fan of Doctor Who doesn't bail just because the character's face changes. "This song is ending. But the story never ends."

I'm so excited about the new season after this first episode. If the wonderful alleyway scene hadn't already done so, the dialogue scene with the Half-Face Man made me certain that Twelve is going to be extremely interesting to watch. And, as much as I loved Smith's portrayal (especially with regards to the comedic

Man, Caliban asking for death ("Why did you allow me to… feel?") and the moment where Sir Malcolm broke down in tears amongst his torn-down African maps both hit me straight in the feels. I'm going to miss this show quite a bit.

Same here. An eight episode season is so cruel!

Did you marry her? The weird theater girl, I mean. Not the spider.

Agree. Give her the Emmy please!

Oh. :(

Wait. What? Anthony Hopkins? Which CW show was he on?
