I feel like the only person that wasn’t surprised by this. A lot of these poses are from some of the biggest manga and anime of the past few years. I’m still ultra happy about it since I’m part of the toonami generation (born in 96) but it’s not that surprising.

I have watched older anime and that scene in particular. First off, Goku in no way, shape, or form looks 15. He looks closer to 8. Secondly, that doesn’t make it okay. Don’t justify shit like that just because studios and mangaka have done it since the 70’s.

I hated SAO just because of how generic it felt. I noped out after the 4th or 5th episode where a tentacle plant wrapped up a blonde girl. Knowing it has graphic rape in the further series makes me glad I didn’t go on with it.

I think a lot of it is just a weird weeb culture obsession with teenagers, high school, and that type of youth. Which I started to question these past few years. Shit just does not make sense to me with the extent it’s idealized in a lot of weeb/otaku stuff like anime and video games.
