I gave up on international wire transfers (last one I did cost $25, it took a full week, and the receiving bank took a chunk out of it too. The vendor didn’t recognize the money since it was a different amount and it took three months to straighten out). But then I used TransferWise a few times and it worked great.

You just reminded me of narcocorridos, existing at that same intersection.

In the greys, can’t post pictures. That’s a 1972 Pontiac Grand Ville in my avatar, though.

You still hear seemingly normal people who are able to hold down jobs and dress themselves say things like “it’s safer to be thrown clear of the accident” and “the belt is uncomfortable.”

Wow, the kid also burnt down the family home in December after cooking some eggs and forgetting about them. I can’t write anymore about this without crossing various lines so I am gonna stop right here.

And definitely not the segment of the population who has a 13-year-old take the wheel on the highway.

Depends on the layout of your car, but generally true. My FWD cars tend to wear out the front tires at a considerably higher rate, though. And amen to updating the spare (as long as it’s a real wheel).

If I was to create an Escort GT Wagon, I would make it look exactly as it would if Ford had made it. This is a good starting point, though, and $3,500 is the $1,000 of 2022.

I think you’ll be fine; this doesn’t look like the kind of bike that prompts redline shifts.

Maybe some kind of motorcycle equivalent of making it right-hand-drive?

I drive a minuscule car, and I am generally not worried about trucks. For all the flak they (deservedly) get, they are still much more alert than most drivers. Don’t make them lose momentum (or at least wave apologetically if you do) and they are great.

A car that weighs half will use less energy, and will almost inevitably be more fun to drive.

No, the trick is to have a car which is fun to drive at lower speeds. My kei car has me giggling, nervously checking the speedo to find myself travelling at 32 miles an hour.

I just had a supposed gearhead argue that the fourth-gen Eclipse makes a better driver’s car than an original Eclipse GS-X, because it has more horsepower and a lower 0-60 time.

Seconded. But then again, your friends don’t have to bring their extended family and an 8,000 pound boat across a mountain pass once a week like all Americans [imagine themselves needing to] do.

Ford should really offer a permanent, hinged tonneau cover. It could be incorporated with the tailgate, so that both can be lifted together. Add some upholstery to the interior of the bed and voila! the perfect place for non-contractor/non-gardener types to move their possessions.

Surprising or depressing?

Let’s posit, as the Tennessee Comptroller seems to be suggesting, that one believed that whites are smarter than blacks, and that blacks are incapable of governing themselves. Would it not then make sense to let Mason continue to operate, and then when it has become an anarchic hellhole they could point to it as

These are all good advice. Except Duncan telling Nissan that Americans would love the Figaro - they may love seeing it around, but few would consider buying one. Also, pretty sure the Figaro never had heated seats.

Maybe it was still too dark?
