Its not. And epic understands the PC market. They were making games before Valve was even a thing.
Who needs endgame? You play the story, finish, and play again to continue leveling up, or you start a new character. I dont need to “prestige” 6 times over or re-run raids 3 dozen times for bragging rights. The primary focus of Borderlands is always the story. Its one of the reasons I love it.
This. Launcher doesnt matter to me either. The platform is PC, and if I want to play a game, I buy it where its available.
Metro sold way more on EGS than the last game did on steam. Division 2 is selling more between Uplay and EGS.
Yeah that 20MB launcher...real hard drive killer. Activision (which Tencent also owns 25% of, along with 5% of Uplay) has their own launcher. Ubisoft too. Origin too. GoG as well. Bethesda too. Like it or not, its the way it is...and it should prevent you from buying a game you like. The game is what matters. …
There was a tracking pixel, which Google, Steam, and many others use. There was a checking of install paths (normal) and a rundown of the friends list which is ONLY used if specific options are set. There was no spyware. The programming subreddit even looked at it and found nothing conspicuous. The main thread online…
The PLATFORM is PC. The launcher may vary, but the platform itself is PC. PS4 is a platform. Xbox is a platform. You cannot buy a ps4 game and play it on xbox. You cannot buy a ps4 game and play it on PC. PC is its own platform, and it has many launchers.
They have a roadmap anyone can view that shows you whats a priority and whats a little ways off.
Yep thats why Division and Metro have been selling like hotcakes on PC.
If youre not using 2 factor authentication on EVERY account you have, that security issue is with YOU.
Hey - how about we go “old school” with a real single player campaign?
I know I wont be buying it, at least not right away. I do too much single player and offline play for it to be worth it to me. I prefer to have a local install for minimal input lag, and the ability to play offline.
Im a 60 long suit coat size (due to my broad shoulders), 6ft 4 inch tall dude. I can barely let someone by if im standing sideways. No ones walking by me on an escalator. Sorry. Want to walk? Take the stairs.
Many many midwesterners do.
Yep, even worse than Cicis.
Im more on board with the hardware bans Apex is handing out to cheaters. I think griefers and team killers should get the same punishment. This just kind of seems like a slap on the wrist, when whats needed is a sledgehammer to the head.
If theres no Keyboard/Mouse support, its not a competitor to PC.
Cat Flu.
Uh...watch what MS does with the next xbox. If they dont change their minds when this flops.
