100% agreed they should have killed off Frank when his liver was completely shot. And the fact that he hasn’t had any new liver problems despite continued drinking and drugs is just another failure in the show's storytelling.

Just finished running through Bebop. Had only ever seen “Mushroom Samba” before many years ago and remembered it being hilarious so I gave the a series a shot. Not much of an anime fan really. Love One Punch Man but never got into anything else I’d seen. I thought Bebop was just ok. A few episodes I might rewatch.

Yup she did end up with Disher

The disjointedness of how this season was presented had a specific narrative reason, but really it wasn’t even as disjointed as it seems at face value. The only parts that were disjointed were Bernard’s. Everything else, minus a few flashbacks which were obvious flashbacks, was presented linearly. All of the other

This episode was like chocolate chip cookies if half the chips were actually chocolate and the other half were donkey shit.

It’s a dramedy switching between drama and comedy frequently with huge tonal shifts but not letting either dominate the show.

I almost find myself wishing they had planned Barry as a one season mini-series instead of regular series.

His dickishness was great when directed at a shitbag like Erlich Bachmann. Jian Yang is the one element of the show that stopped working with TJ Miller gone because they had to turn him against Pied Piper making him an outright antagonist instead of a side-annoyance.

Zach Woods’ delivery of “Would you like to die today, motherfucker?” without a doubt ranks among the greatest line readings in TV comedy history. The perfect blend of unassuming deference and genuine malice. Give that man an Emmy already!

In only one season, “Barry” just might have already established itself as the best dramedy of all time. Really wow.

That would put Sally in the same category as Lyla from season 2 of Dexter, so crazy even murder doesn’t put her off.

“Although Robert vetoes actually using her in the presentation because he doesn’t think she’s ready yet.)“

Two things.

honestly, I didn’t even notice him slipping out of the accent b/c the character just feels really natural.

funniest bit this episode: Stavko saying he’s 47 years old

“The logical conclusion of his storyline was the liver failure plot several seasons back.”

Yeah definitely not a mixed bag at all. Just a notch below season 2 in quality.

Remind me, are Vee and Fiona just straight up not friends anymore? They are still neighbors aren’t they? You’d think they’d at least still shoot each a text or something or see each other in passing.

Man Carl’s military academy must have one ridiculously long summer break seeing as Liam’s school year has been in full swing for at least a few weeks.

The Judge Judy scene was a riot. Everything else, not so much.
