Same thing with the Rover 75/MG ZT but with an added twist, the BMW-based diesel I4 and Rover petrol I4/V6 were transverse-mounted and FWD while the longitudinally-mounted Ford V8 was RWD!
(my ZT had the BMW-based M47R diesel)
