Castlevania instead of anything from Anne Rice? dammit! this just means i won't get to see The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty on TV anytime soon and the modern recollections of popular vampires dies with those sparkly people from ̶V̶a̶m̶p̶i̶r̶e̶s̶ ̶S̶u̶c̶k̶ Twilight.

very true, although i doubt she's thought that far into the point. what she said feels more like trying to hurriedly cop out of answering properly, whatever her reasons for not wanting to answer such a loaded question.

if only more people would've tuned into proper Asian leading shows like Marco Polo(and not that Eddie Huang garbage Fresh off the Boat racists and yellow fever addicts love). that show showcased some really talented Asians(both North American Asians and Asians from Asia, and not just a bunch of random Chinese, but a

GATE anime points out exactly how Japan views the world through their armed forces. it's almost exactly how the Stargate program treats non-Americans. =)

global as in the west? not so much. global as in multiple countries in Asia(multiple as in more than english speaking Canada/US/UK)? many Bollywood and Hong Kong films are huge throughout Asia(Bollywood films are huge in China), a bit less so Japanese/South Korean/Chinese films but SK and China are moving up, and

like Orson Scott Card's response to boycotts of Ender's Game?

considering the offended will still be offended. it'll just seem like the Asian man will need a white woman to teach him Asian mystical arts. it's a no win. Strange is fine the way it is. no one in Hong Kong or Taiwan even bats an eye at Tilda Swinton playing the Ancient One. https://www.youtube.com/wat…

that's because some people have the mentality that big eyes and pale skin = western, and we're all squinty eyed flat nose fu man chu kung fu ninja math genius piano robot. =P

and yet Matt Damon goes there to be a part of a cast(that includes Pedro Pascal and Willem Dafoe, and box office king in Asia, Andy Lau), and Asian American actors suddenly started to freak out because they don't realize white isn't the majority in China.

it's as if some people don't know how IMDB and their users fawn over people like Maggie Cheung or Zhang Ziyi or even Michelle Yeoh. and because Vertical Dragon Horizontal Tiger did so poorly in the US(the true meaning of "box office success internationally")

what color skin can't she do? she's like a chameleon! =)

but isn't Carradine just naturally squinty? like Clint Eastwood who's obviously Asian with those eyes. =P

sad but true. i grew up learning English and reading X-Men in the 80's so there was a lot of Jubilee, Dazzler, Kitty Pryde and Boom Boom around. (keep hoping they'd band together to be the mutant Josie and the Pussycats).

TMK Jubilee and Silk aren't martial arts experts, unless Silk has had some kind of MA training outside of her powers?

some of us have even heard of Beyonce. *wink wink*

next episode: HM01 learned! now i can cut those bushes to get to a whole new area.

"who?" — Korath the Pursuer

Harry Kim's no Worfzia or Garashir. =)

if only i could find the budget for this film to corroborate, the amazing part is the production and filming process are intensely short and the budget are usually insanely low, even compared to Japanese films which often also have tiny budgets and short production schedules.
