Some of the celiacs in our house are children, so I think you’ve made my point for me.

Dude! Thank you!! <3 <3 For sure making this this weekend.
Either/both? Eggs are not a limitation for us. Is there a way to pm via Kinja, or do you mind sharing them here? Thank you so much!
It does - look for a small gluten-free label down to the left corner below the logo. Also, some of their ice cream bars are labeled GF too.
Most plain ice cream is safe in theory, but the risk of cross contamination because it’s prepared in the same facility as cookie dough flavor, cookies and cream, brownie crunch, etc., is the problem. If you read the label, most include the “prepared in a shared facility ... may contain wheat” disclaimer. Fine for…
OMG thank you! In suspense ...
Our local places (SF bay area) are set up like Chipotle, so you can choose item by item what you want in your bowl. Most have GF soy sauce, so really, all you need to avoid is the premixed spicy tuna (bc, soy sauce) the fish eggs (bc those often contain soy sauce), and most of the sauces (choose the GF tamari…
Two quibbles, azmadoc:
Celiac household; we volunteer to bring our own snacks, but it’s nice to know in advance what others are bringing so we can match it so the kids don’t feel as left out.
Wheat germ is surprisingly common. Also, think about it; if you know what your shampoo/conditioner tastes like from rinsing, then you also know how easy it is to ingest, because you’ve done so.
Mock if you will, but it’s reassuring to know that it’s been tested and cleared. You’d be surprised how much not-gluten-containing food ends up at risk of cross-contamination due to shared processing facilities.
Many humans aren’t set up to eat cheese or drink milk; most of the world’s people are lactose intolerant as adults.
Two celiacs recently diagnosed in my household, at least one with dairy issues too. In case it’s helpful:
have you found a good chocolate recipe?
What about C’mon C’mon from Rescue Me? Solid song, good match for the show.
I don’t know if it’s legal or not to skateboard in the street in SF. I do know that idiots skateboard down my (moderately hilly) block and blow through the stop sign on the regular, causing near-misses among vehicles and peds alike (plus the occasional t-bone collision). Fun!
Dude, clearly you don’t live in SF. The police force of this major city is large, but generally takes a low interest in the high numbers of break-ins, muggings, and assault that do happen in broad daylight here, let alone the sidewalk tent cities that have made some parts of town impassable to pedestrians.
So wait - he’s going so fast he can’t stop himself, but the cop is supposed to somehow be able to stop him, without them both going onto the car? Not seeing how the physics work out.
That kid could easily have killed himself. What says that the cop was trying to harm him? The video I saw had a kid going so fast that he couldn’t stop himself; it could just as easily have been a pedestrian stepping out from the sidewalk.
OMG JOLIE KERR IS BACK AND CHRIS KLUWE IS COMMENTING. I can die now. Meh on the actual topic but otherwise this is awesome.
