Respectfully disagree: the story was apparently based on the first book the author ever wrote, at the age of 6. It's a great opportunity to discuss with your kid whether, e.g., playing baseball in the living room is a good plan, and why/why not.

Goodnight Gorilla is another nice one, both the book and the video. (People often assume the protag gorilla is a male - but she sure looks female to me; note the lack of bare chest, no silverback, smaller size, etc.)
