So, uh, yeah; Prey’s really good, isn’t it? To be honest, I haven’t played it since this weekend, and I’ve only just made it back into hearing the full message from my Morgan (and by extension, no psychic powers so far). The sound is especially great, and I love its world building - even if it’s nuts that its version

Can an article exist on AVClub without Prince Ruprecht the Monkey Boy performing his social progressiveness all over the comments?

This is exactly how conservatives think that huge money hungry Fortune 500 corporations also run their diversity programs. It’s not that they hire the best people they can while also trying to fulfil a representative population goal in parallel. It’s that they seek out clearly stupid people of color who can’t tie

So to break it down “May the best man win” is only a rule when it’s white people who are the ‘best man.’ For everyone else it’s forced diversity?

Nah, nah, nah man Pence is so far in the closet that he’s rimming Aslan, but he’s too much of a bastard to even give the poor lion a fucking reach around as well.

Now playing

Mike Pence is the Young Jeezy of the Trump Squad

The 2018 Democratic primary will be the most important election in a generation. If we don’t stack the deck with progressives, not only will Republicans keep beating Republican-lite, but those corporate dems who do slither in will keep on being useless.

Meh. Republicans are gonna do that anyway.

It really didn’t take long for John Kelly to morph from the adult in the room to despicable shitheel. Fuck that guy and those that portrayed him as any less reprehensible than the rest of the dickholes in this administration.

Another good example of that principle is the Nirvana boxed set. Halfway through one of the discs the original drummer changes to Dave Grohl and it’s like someone suddenly switched on the lights in a pitch black room.

In fairness, Ramones were fucking fantastic musicians, within narrow realm of kind of music they played. There might not be tighter, more consistent live band in history of rock music. And they were great at playing simple, energetic songs, which is all they needed to be great at.

Of all the hot takes that proliferate on the internet, “Paul McCartney is a poor singer” is the most adorable.

I’m not a Beatles fan. I am a bass player. Even as a non-fan, I give Paul a lot of credit for pioneering bass as a counter-melody instrument in pop/rock music. I think he did some very solid playing too, and is probably underappreciated for his bass skills in relation to the praise that he gets for songwriting, etc.

You won’t find many drummers who think Ringo was bad.

I encourage you to challenge your own view by listening to any of Paul’s isolated bass tracks (available on YouTube; Hey, Bulldog and Something are two straight masterpieces I’d recommend to start). If you’re interested in their singing ability, you can also hear their isolated harmonies (the b-side of Abbey Road has

Those Beatles anecdotes are utterly full of shit.

Ringo might not be the most exciting drummer ever, but he had an impeccable sense of rhythm and timing, and I remember reading about someone going back and listening to all of the raw Beatles recordings (not the albums but the original tapes with the bad takes and all)

As someone who lives in Atlanta (and have on and off for the last 20+ years), there was nothing physically wrong with Turner Field. The only problem was that a lot of white people felt uncomfortable going to Turner Field since they had to walk through some areas which were occupied by non-white people, some of whom

Yeah, people still lose their shit over their records 50 years later even though they were bad singers and musicians. Come the hell on.

It will probably be a lot quieter at the Braves games.
