I’m not so sure I agree 100% with your police work there re: The Ramones. Is “Blitzkrieg Bop” really whiter or less bluesy than classic rock contemporaries like “More Than A Feeling”? If anything, The Ramones seem at times to be consciously trying to evoke older R&B styles.

Invisible, Inc. is another game that’s basically perfect. I had no idea that I needed a stealth-based XCOM, but man did I ever.

I thought Season 4 was pretty good, to be honest. It wasn’t as immediately gratifying as the earlier seasons, but I appreciated the somewhat experimental format, and it took the series’ penchant for structurally elaborate jokes to a pretty insane level.

I think “grungified exploitation flick” is the right way to think about The Crow. It’s not a “good” movie in the same way that a lot of B-movie classics aren’t “good” movies, but it’s still kind of awesome just for being what it is so unabashedly.
