no brainier if you want to rename a street you rename the street named after a racist developer, JC Nichols Parkway... But our city council is stupid

if you are familiar with KC dont you think it would have been a better move to rename JC Nichols Parkway to MLK instead of The Paseo?

city council changed it last year, everyone across all demographics thought it was incredibly stupid to change The Paseo as opposed to like JC NIchols parkway that is named after a super racist developer

It was changed to MLK last year by the city council, people didnt decide. People voted to switch it back.

You left out where it was changed last year hamfistedly (plenty of other streets to rename, like JC Nichols, if you want to erase a racists name) by a city council and everyone believed it was dumb to do and mad about it.  Odd details to leave out.
