RPM is just displacement over time. 2 liters 8k RPM same amount of air/ fuel as 4 liters 4k RPM. That big block still isn’t very effective at getting power out of all those cubes.

After the BTCC banned Quattro. Audi still ran a rear end that joined the rear wheels together. I believe that it helped with turn-in or something. Front drive BTCC cars lift the inside rear wheel during hard cornering, somebody noticed the inside rear wheel was still turning. So they got caught.
