TLDR: Is that EV charging takes a little bit longer than gas, but on average it is nowhere near as bad as people who have never done it before.
That particular one was schedule by the owner (it was the first screenshot I found). I’ve had a Tesla for 7 years now and the updates for me have always been overnight. I think it defaulted to 2AM or something.
Perhaps Tesla can run the updates when the owners are parked in bed for the night, or at least when the car is charging.
I still don’t understand how it took the first responders almost an hour to get her out.
Of all the problems endured during IFT-3, the inability of Starship to survive reentry is perhaps the most serious. Approximately 49 minutes into the mission, Starship suddenly went silent while reentering above the Indian Ocean and disintegrated, preventing the planned hard splashdown in the ocean. SpaceX will now…
Is Jenkin comparable to M Night Shyamalan... I loved “Sixth Sense”, “Unbreakable” was ok... but then you had run of stuff like The Village, Lady in the Water, The Happening, After Earth, The Last Airbender.
I think WW84 was a bad movie in part because there were three separate half-baked plotlines (Steve Trevor,…
but she couldn’t roll down a window or force a door open before sinking???
SpaceX did as well. Because of the ionization, the video can’t be livestreamed. So it only works on a something re-entering the atmosphere that survives reentry intact and is then recovered... so at least for NASA there are relatively few. For Space, they had 96 launches in 2023, it would quickly become boring... (I…
The report says he resigned just few days before he was to be interviewed regarding the shooting - the fact that it the investigation become voluntary if he resigns seems... questionable.
“On 12/4/2023, Deputy Jesse Hernandez resigned (Exhibit 12) from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Hernandez had been…
Then Tom Cotton should have straight up asked CEO Chew about he interactions with the TikTok board of directors and meddling of government officials and/or data protection practices of TikTok instead of xenophobic dog whistling about his political allegiances.
AFAICT, no congressperson asked the previous CEOs of…
Dear God, I’m not defending Tom Cotton, a terrible racist and idiot
TLDR: Heavier EV do cause more road damage, but heavy duty commercial/industrial vehicles rolling every day (UPS/FedEx delivery truck, garbage trucks, buses, semi truck on the highways) account for most of road damage.
Holy crap. 390 mg of caffeine!? Most energy drinks have 100–200 mg in them, for comparison
Didn’t GM stop production of the Bolt for the foreseeable future? (i.e. they nominally have an Ultium platform vehicle that will “inherit” the Bolt brand name... but there will no longer be Bolts for sale on Jan 1 2024 or anytime in 2024?)
The third video in the Twitter embed show that Cybertruck is using all-season tires, which is a failure that happens all too often on regular pickups and SUV as so many of them come with stock all-seasons tires that are barely acceptable in rain and generally terrible in snow/ice.
I’ve seen so many of my fellow…
It’s poor/misleading phrasing that “technically” still corect as apparently Pixel 8 is apparently getting a Night Sight video mode that “boosts” brightness... but only for Timelapse videos.
If it makes you feel any better the transition to EVs isn’t going to do much for the environment, either.
This myth that PHEV owners dont plug in their cars is a pile of baloney perpetuated by the fanatical EV lobby.
If I buy the truck, it’s my property, right? How would the manufacturer regulate what I do with it after that? What claim could they possibly still have on it? Like they’ll void the warranty or something?
