Even though I only shoot digital and would never go back to analog (I really hated developing/darkroom work), I disagree that the process doesn't affect the outcome - especially for landscapes and still lifes... if you have a 4x5" view camera with only 12 negatives total for your whole day, you are going to be much,

While I agree... Who are you talking to exactly?

Well the GoPro Hero4+ Black offers 4K video, so there is a lot of resolution to crop. Also, do do you know of ANY lens in existence that provides ~180* FOV that isn't a fisheye? I don't think one exists for a dSLR. I'm wondering what you are comparing these wide angle action cams to?

You know you can remove the distortion by clicking on a checkbox when importing/converting right? You lose a little bit of your field of view, but you still get a pretty wide angle overall.

I second the JayBird BlueBudX... they were picked as the top bluetooth exercise earbuds on the Wirecutter, I've been using them for jogs and at the gym and like them a lot.

Gases possess poor thermal conduction properties compared to liquids and solids, and thus makes a good insulation material if they can be trapped. In order to further augment the effectiveness of a gas (such as air) it may be disrupted into small cells which cannot effectively transfer heat by natural convection.

Where is that "air" in the standard air mattress coming from... the outside winter air. What's the temperature of the outside air? Cold as F%$@#! The other reason is you don't need just air... you need tiny pockets of air. Each slightly separated from each other. That's what down feathers, knit wool, etc... do, they

Not that I know of, I think they are all waterproof which makes it harder to have a microSD slot (yes, you can have a waterproof gasket... but chance are someone is going to forget to close it... and/or it get pushed out of the way). Plus all the watches are still kind of still a little bulky. I think having a smaller

Odd... I think I intended to reply to @casen.

Did you ever try going to the Chromecast homepage?

You can cast from you computer or NAS on a closed network... check out Plex Media Server. From your phone there is ES Browser and the Plex app as well.

That is somewhat incorrect. Chromecast needs a wifi connection, but it doesn't need to be connected to the Internet to cast local content... In addition to the Chrome browser plugin (free) that's been around for over a year (only 720p though). You can cast stuff from your computer or NAS via Plex (even on the free

Kind of awkward that you have to use it BEFORE Christmas.

I think it is pretty obvious isn't it?

Your "clarification" is still wrong.

I used to scoff at the need for a tilting lcd on a dSLR (I had one back when I used bridge cameras)... but after getting several stiff necks on longer photo sessions, I think I might have been wrong (tilting LCD is not as important as image quality and control, but I think it would be useful)

Up until the mid-1850's in the US, lobsters were considered only useful as fish bait or fertilizers. It was only eaten by indentured servant and the lower class, and force fed to people in prisons... there are even contracts that for servants guaranteeing they will not be fed lobster more than twice a week at most...

The satellite launched in 2004... but it's not like someone can to a store the night before launch, buy a memory card and pop it in.

It was ESA (European Space Agency), not NASA.
