I guess the question is what does it mean to "inform" and "educate." Since all the math above was technically taught in high school... I think if someone has a new found interesting in science and technology, they are would willing to give math a second try.

Not everyone elects to take physics in high school (I think only 40% of students in the US do). That's why I didn't do a top-level post complain that this was all "rudimentary".
