Interesting that Jezebel chose not to report on this study a month ago, since the topic of women in the military would SURELY be of interest to a feminist blog. But when criticisms of the report come out, you are all over posting those criticisms.

I love that the commenters mocking the offended shoppers are likely the same ones who Call for “trigger warnings” before a college professor teach literature that might include racism or violence against women.

I am betting this is an elaborate hoax. In which case, well done to the perpetrators. As saavy as most people think they are, people are still willing to swallow anything they see online if it looks slightly plausible (it doesn’t hurt that actual newspapers are getting fooled too).
