Wow! Sincerely well done David. Your grit and determination to undertake something so needlessly difficult is truly admirable, and I really do commend you for not only finding the reserves of energy to continue, but to actually get the damn thing there. I’m really proud of your achievement, and for you having worked

When I was a kid, growing up in the UK in the 80s my Dad used to travel on business to the USA quite a bit. We’d spent a little over a year living in the States when my Dad did a secondment, so we developed quite a taste for Pizza Hut Super Supreme. I’m not sure Pizza Hut was in the UK in those days, so on his return

(Not you; if “one” doesn’t get that!)

Ugghhh! After being quite amused by David Lee basically being shamed by Jay Leno for not driving his car, this is just more of the same!

The original Suzuki Katana was an incredibly forward looking design and rode like a dream.”

LOL’d at that one (and I don’t LOL)

Put it this way; can you think of another German brand beginning with A, that sold a lifted wagon with air suspension and 4wd? That’s how reliable it is!

They’re also the title sponsor for the factory Ducati MotoGP team. I await with interest to see if the “branding” gets pulled from the livery.

You’re not wrong; my father was a Senior Scientist at Kodak for his entire career, albeit one that ended early due to lay-offs as the film industry dwindled and died. He designed new films and photographic paper. Ironically he owns a really nice DSLR these days and isn’t at all bitter about the demise of film.

PS Can I get un-greyed, please?

You’re a fucking legend, well done!

Well done, you’re bonkers - please don’t change!

I used to live close by - I knew it was rumoured he lived there, but I didn’t realise he actually did. Coolest thing about his house? It has a moat. I bet your house doesn’t have a moat! Pity it didn’t stop the low-life getting in.

I had a friend in college whose Dad had a G34. That was a cool looking thing.

Awful! As a Brit I want to like this car, as a point of national pride, but it’s just a mess. As a Design Engineer it annoys me that they let some talent-less idiot loose on what would be a dream project for many like me.

It’s also a design feature. By having that flat edge it gives the impression that the body panel is 3/4" (or whatever) thick, which gives a feeling that the body is thick and solid and high quality. Look at W124 Mercedes - it’s something that’s been around a while.

    British person here.

It’s a VW Polo. Good little cars too.

I have a family member in the motor trade here in the UK, with connections in the upper end of the market. I’m told that the wheels on a Veyron have a finite life, so in effect are service items. Cost for replacement? £50,000 (about $63,000). If I remember correctly these have to be done something like ever 20,000

I believe what you have there is a counterfeit product, as any genuine Lucas products would not be measured using metric units, but rather something more fitting like a Firlot or Octave.
