Human Barbie dolls? Or real-life Jenna Maroneys?

BREAKING NEWS: I saw the human Ken Doll out at Progress Bar during Pride a couple of weekends ago here in Chicago. He had a shirt cut down to his sternum and I could not stop staring at his faux pecs. His fecs, if you will. Related news: I was very sad that I recognized him. I've been watching too many things like My

because Black Widow = full-body leather catsuit = rape? I dunno, I think he's just an idiot.

Sorry, but this is a terrible move. Thor is not a title, it's the man's freaking name. If they want a new female hero to appeal to the ladies, then they should create one, or actually utilize the ones they already have - like Torrun or Sif. Giving a random woman the name and history of a man doesn't seem like a leap

Also can we NOT? There are plenty of great things about Peggy Carter outside of her life with Steve.

Clearly someone who doesn't know anything about her character.

I was under the impression "Thor" was the man's name, not his title. This is like if a woman picked up Captain America's shield and started calling herself "Steve".

Cooooooool

Wonder Woman's fractured editorial direction does not preclude her success. Pick an interpretation and go with it; that's exactly what happened to Batman in Nolan's films - compare them to Schumacher's or West's Batman show, all three are interpretations straight from the comics.

Look at that image again. Read the text really carefully.

I guess I should be thankful Lady Thor doesn't have tits the size of a planet, a boob window for everyone to aim at, stripper heels and a clit-floss thong. Yes, mainstream American comics industry — my expectations for you are that low, and yet you find new and grotesque ways to disappoint me.

"No problem. We'll just be over here making sure that the comics industry stays financially viable!"

I won't see it for that trope alone.

I don't read comics, but there are several heroes I want a movie made about. For starters, what about Wonder Woman? She is probably one of the most known female superheroes among the general public (other than maybe Catwoman) and yet no movie? Come on. The closest we've gotten are some direct-to-DVD animated stuff. I

"With the Black Widow movie, wouldn't that basically be like a female Jason Bourne movie?"

Meanwhile, no Wonder Woman movie to be found...ever.

YES. I like Black Widow and all, but I want to see a female hero with some real power to rival Thor or the Hulk. Plus, the Widow isn't really a superhero in the traditional sense; she'll help out the Avengers when asked, but in her solo stories, she's almost always a spy.

Coolness. I mean, the boobplate is silly - and dangerous for the wearer - but since she's a goddess it's a redundant issue.

Expect it to last a year tops and then forgotten completely in 3-5 years. Thanks, cape comics.
