Uh.... Seriously? Ike merely looks like how he did in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, sequel to his game: Path of Radiance. Ike has changed like this to show how he's fully stepped into his father Greil's shoes. He's also no longer the Main Character, though he has his own POV section of the game.

He is a pretty slow and a heavy hitter. This design suits him much better than his younger design based off of that.
