Or you could be like Joe Hill and not use your famous parent’s name professionally.

This snark is up my alley. I like you.

To me it only matters if you suck and really truly only have your job because of your famous relative.  Like Bronny and Lebron James

Emma Roberts doesn’t have to prove herself “more.”  She’s a middling actress with a solid career based on looks and connections.  She’s skated by on being just good enough and will continue to do so for the rest of her career.

Who can forget the enormous power Rosemary Clooney wielded in 1980's Hollywood when George Clooney got his start? Studio executives cowered in fear that she might sic Danny Kaye on them.

It’s always assumed that women attained their position through something other than talent or hard work. They got the job because they are pretty. They slept their way to the job. Daddy bought it for them.  It isn’t surprising that they get tarred with the Nepo Baby brush more often as well.

No, they mean “daughter of Big Sexy Kevin Nash’s co-star in DOA: Dead or Alive Eric Roberts”

I don’t think it’s a minority opinion, most people really don’t give a shit.

“I always joke, ‘Why is no one calling out George Clooney for being a nepo baby? [His aunt] Rosemary Clooney was an icon,’” Roberts said on a recent episode of the Table for Two podcast

Probably minority opinion: The nepo baby issue is overrated. The last name gets you the interview, you get yourself the job. And she’s absolutely right that the expectations are higher.

Dude, that’s not cool. You really shouldn’t make light of someone’s appeara- JESUS BEATBOXING CHRIST.

He’s a really good actor. I know he’s got his music and app and all that stuff, which is very easy to (rightfully) take shots at, but it’s pretty undeniable when it comes to his on-screen talent. Also: maybe it’s just me, but the headline here feels a little unnecessarily aggressive? Like, feels like it’s rolling its

Good luck to him. For all that the commentariat love to shit on him (and I’m not wholly innocent here) for not being a Downey-Jr-level attention- magnet, I’ve never seen a film with him in it and thought either “he shouldn’t have been cast in this” or “this is not a good film”. Even the non-Bourne Bourne movie was

I was so confused when Otto called Jahaerys his grandson. He was Otto’s great-grandson, right?? These generations are way too close! Alicent almost looks younger than both of her sons!

I’m going to set up shop as a Westerosi armorer and sell cotton t-shirts. So much more comfortable, and exactly as much protection!

It wouldn’t be as bad if we knew another season was coming next year, but instead we probably have another 2-year delay after this. They really should shoot shows like this 16 episodes at a time, so they can then split them into two separate seasons that can be finished and released on a year-by-year basis.

There were definitely vibes between her and Alicent early on.

Which is a very strange thing to admit publicly online

I sense Mysaria and Rhaenyra’s grudging respect for one another could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Or, at the very least, a blossoming alliance. Anyone else?

All I can say after 2 episodes is the choice to only have 8 episodes is bad. Way too many things are being rushed that it's causing me and I'm sure other viewers to be apathetic towards many if not most of the characters as well don't know who they are
