Starting the episode at The Wall just reminded me of how awful and rather meaningless the White Walkers became. I’d rather not think about how that ended so I definitely could have done without that opening. A tour of Winterfell would have been just fine

Can I just say the intro is waaaaay better now? I get the whole bloodlines angle last season but it was fairly bland. This? They went with a semi Baylax Tapestry kinda look and I’m a real sucker for that.

Shireen was too much for me!

They’re pretending to be rat catchers, and the dog is part of that. 

I actually do think that particular child murder on screen would have been too much for many viewers, and cutting away was the right choice.

Setting aside Criston’s…considerable list of flaws, he’s hot and is devoted to Alicent. Not the unhealthiest relationship on this show, and not a bad pick on Alicent’s part.

Can anyone explain to me what the point was of the dog being with the two killers?

It’s actually pretty smart. I never got why so many concert films are released after the tour was over. A concert movie is basically an advertisement for the show; why not get it out there when people can actually buy tickets to go see it?

I can only imagine how much money this tour and the movie have made. I’m with you about the music (I’ve never liked pop music much) but she appears to give her fans their money’s worth.

The funniest moment was the starstruck chefs all asking themselves if that was *the* Morimoto or some cruise ship actor doing Morimoto cosplay. No introductions, no preparation, just...we’re going to let Morimoto cook for you while you watch slackjawed and try to figure out what even is your life.

Finally, Taylor Swift can get some well-earned rest.

Since this is a virtual whatever-it-is, couldn’t they have given Hetfield and company their eighties-era long hair back? Older Metallica fans hated it when they cut their hair — and, coincidentally, released “Load”. Maybe that would convince some of the old-time headbangers to stop by, no?

Do kids today even know who Metallica is?
