I almost feel bad for her in that I think she came up in a time/place within the industry where that kind of behavior was SOP until all of a sudden it wasn’t. And she probably had to grow an extra thick skin and sharp elbows because yea, she was unfairly pilloried that first go around with her sitcom. It also probably…
“I couldn’t gain perspective. I couldn’t do anything to make myself understand that it wasn’t personal…”
I’m still not entirely sure what she did, to be honest. It sounds like she’s agreeing there were problems, so there must have been something, but all the reports I read were so vague.
And it’s a prequel.
I think the lead being 15 is the main cause. He is moving into peak puberty age for boys which means that in a matter of days he could grow like an inch and his voice can change. His skin is probably a mess and he always smells. It’s a huge pain for continuity and teenage boys often hit this awkward ugly years.
Older yes. I think it might be impossible for Annie Pots to get ugly though. Lady looks damn good at 71
She was shocked? Really?
It’s a show with a finite timespan. Maybe if it was a cartoon, but these actors are all aging fast.
I watched most of the first few seasons and liked it quite a bit.
It’s certainly a stupid business move from the perspective of Annie Potts’ bank account...
I think it was a brilliant business and creative decision to cancel Young Sheldon. Bravo, CBS! Bravo!
It’s been a while but I thought he was fantastic.
J. K. Rowling is perhaps our greatest living author today. I look forward to her next novel.
And Hogwarts Legacy was the best selling game of 2023 despite all the internet crybullies demanding a boycott. NORMAL PEOPLE DON’T CARE ABOUT ROWLING’S POLITICS.
Haven’t heard any HP audiobooks, but I hear Jim Dale was a full cast all by himself.
Matheson was definitely just rambling nonsense. He sounded more like a dumb person trying to sound profound than actually relaying any kind of point.
I loved the quiet ending of the series. I know some might have wanted a bit more of a giant battle or something like that, but the way it wrapped up character arcs with (mostly) empathy was lovely.
Matheson did a really poor job of ever explaining his chaos approach and that really hindered the chefs. The best creativity comes from a rigid set of rules and expectations. “Make whatever you want” does not, surprisingly allow for much creativity or chaos.
Man, I never know how to feel about these weird, shapeless Elimination challenges. On one hand, it gives the chefs more space to be creative; on the other hand, one of the criterias they are being judged on is how closely they hew to this kinda vague, subjective parameter.
I think overall, this season has been pretty weak on talent. Maybe its just because we’ve been spoiled with some really loaded casts the last several seasons, but this one ain’t quite hitting the same way. However, Soo could change that. If any of you haven’t been watching LCK, I think he really has a chance to come…
