The timing is just...chef’s kiss.

Some clown was whining earlier this week about it and posted a list of like 20 “criticisms” he had with the show and most if not all could have been said about the first season.

Maybe give it more than 6 episodes next time?

I liked the season, though I think the dialogue was weak and some of the characters were so despicable that it was hard to root for them. But I was happy with the ending and the overall show.

I think it would be a fun exercise, if it were possible, to have the people making over-the-top criticisms of this season re-watch season 1 from the same lens. It feels to me that a lot of the critiques of S4 would apply to S1, but they were viewed from a different POV.

I am mixed. I didn’t have issues with tone or dialogue but her plotting was really off for me but maybe that can be improved.

If you’re charging more for breakfast than IHOP you are doing something majorly wrong.  Except for hotel room service breakfast I guess, I expect that to be higher than IHOP but then again I’m paying for the ability to eat bacon that I didn’t have to cook in a bed I don’t have to make because I have a hangover that I

López, dang it, i got my Issa’s confused. Apologies to them both. Or compliments, if they find the comparison flattering.

I actually think Issa Lopez IS capable of making a great season of TV. Unfortunately, even though some of the elements were there.... this past season was not it. It was.... pretty bad writing. Maybe she needs someone to write with her?? The problem is, because there are so many inexplicable great reviews for the show

I feel like this was just recently announced to spite Pizzolatto, which, good.

Nic needs to take a good honest look at his True Detective output and STFU. He got lucky for season 1, faceplanted in his sophomore effort, and then cribbed his notes from season 1 for season 3. I certainly won’t be going out of my way to catch any of his future work.

Honestly, my gripes with this season had little to do with whether Rae “got True Detective right.” It’s an anthology series with a rocky past; take it in whatever direction you want. But hearing a lot of what Rae is saying about her approach to the project is...in contrast with what I saw. And the general attitude fram

I know, I’m glad they focused on the cat, that was not a fail. and wasn’t the premise of the joke “you lasted longer than most’ referring to the cat being with Pete Davidson, not the cat’s 15 min of fame.

Within the last two years they opened a new store in Highlands Ranch CO. For those they don’t know, this is about 30 minutes south of Denver and is one of the richest suburbs in the Denver Metro. Rich as in gated communities full of custom mansions, literally the last thing before ranch land and the mountains.

As several others have said, Denny’s has priced me out. I think everything on the menu is at least $12 now. I can get a better tasting meal for a cheaper price at most of my local joints.

There’s no need for Denny’s (or IHOP, for a more expensive option) if you have 3-5 mom n’ pops offering the same shit at $3-$4 cheaper.

I am a Dennys user, well I was until recently. I used to like to go to Dennys for the seedy “slumming it” feel. the dim lights, the torn booths, the waitress that was working her 3rd job, the bad coffee... everything. Well among that was my love for inexpensive food where i could drink a lot of coffee.

Its really sad how true that is. My father-in-law has Alzheimer’s and we are really learning who our “family” is vs our real family.  Its eye opening.

It’s not just Denny’s - honestly they may even be faring better than others.

I can’t speak for WW, but my family would rob me blind much faster than a stranger. I’d be in the cheapest home they could find inside a week while they sold off or stole everything I owned. And they would feel 100% justified I’m sure, but fuck them, I’ll set my shit on fire before they get a fucking penny.
