Sudekis is ok when not mugging horrifically, but the only movie I’ve seen him in is Horrible Bosses. His film output looks entirely mediocre.

Yup. I never much liked Hader - good in voice roles, but I have no respect for essentially anyone of that SNL era.
Literally never listened to a Kanye song. I absolutely know a few, since that one has been in a billion commercials and that other about gold diggers was in every club, and I probably have heard more since he’s omnipresent, but I’ve never sought out a Kanye song.
I know him from being interviewed while eating hot sauce on YouTube, where I learned that the guy playing Richard is actually less likeable than Richard...
Death, Jr.?
Missing is makeoutclub.com, the northeast-focused grandaddy of many of these. Which spawned a few others, like lipstickandcigarettes.com, and asocialdisease.com, all of which were still going after the punk, indie, and hardcore crowds. They died by being short-sighted, and looking to help people make friends and…
Deftones - White Pony
Me: Why is this review better than most of late? I guess just because I have a somewhat personal connection with The Amazing Johnathan, in that I enjoyed (and remember) Ruckus, and saw him in Vegas once.
So he was Magnum PI?
Was there a bet to see how many times you could sneak in the adjectives "frothy" & “frothier?”
Looks like Hill Country, I think
I could tell who wrote this by the snappiness of the jokes. So many of the back half episodes of the season felt like first drafts, with placeholder jokes, and lacking any rapid fire zip. I fear for season 11
Right? I hate Pandora, but know Tool was on it because my Facebook memory from today was me bitching a decade ago that it kept playing Tool despite me thumbs downing every song.
RL Stine felt trashy. Pike felt deeper. To 3rd grade me, haha. Don't recall enough to remember the conservative bent, though
Really enjoyed most of these answers, but then he claimed that Pursuit of Happyness and Walter Mitty were good...
Yup. And finding out he was black in the comic makes his “diversity hire” comment make way more sense.
Vulture seems a good alternative, since yes, this place no longer seems to review the shows its regular community watches. Oitnb over this seems odd. And agreed on the summer reviews.
Deep is the funniest character here, too, but then you remember he began the series by raping the protagonist and get angry at the show runner for that decision. The show takes rape seriously, but makes the rapist a sad sack you laugh at and somewhat pity. Would be so much better had it not happened. Became a tonal…
I had never heard of it, until I was on the Twitter of that kid that killed that college student he was obsessed with (I know how much that narrows it down, but this was the one from this week.) All he talked about was Ben Shapiro and White Claw.
This was terrible. It felt like a first draft. Jokes weren’t landing, and felt stale and old. And so many missed opportunities. Archer says “settling is for potato chips?” Ray says “don’t get your panties in a bunch?” Feels like placeholders.
