Jane sucked in the movies. Her sidekick was worse. Her sidekick’s sidekick worse yet. No surprise the movies worked best leaving that behind.
Someone with self awareness absolutely is
It wasn’t “because [he works] in a different genre.” It was because he’s a jackass that is notorious for treating people like dirt and for being a self-absorbed ding-dong. I mean, Maynard has collaborated outside his genre, with Tori Amos, with David Bowie.
Wait, you were trying to elicit a response in an off-the-wall post that elicited a response from you?
I see both sides here. Partially, because Hopper’s treatment of El makes some sense given how all her friends shit on him while she giggles, and jumping right into a kid that age is hard enough. Partially because the stuff with Joyce was all before they actually became an item (and his jealousy made a bit of sense),…

Fortunately, “himself” is a living action star & cartoon character dripping charisma.
The Rock picks the worst damn projects and shows loyalty to the worst damn directors
If I recall, the explosion went backwards from where the Russian went into the machine. In other words, blew back towards the windows that mysteriously stop it. Hopper was standing in front of that point, and they did not show the energy going that way (perhaps just to not show Hopper die, but seemed more intentional.)
I thought this was the best season, by far. 1 felt cheap and chintzy at times, leaning too heavy into “remember that!?” 2 was ok, but misfired in several episodes. This all worked for me.
The explosion blew backwards, not forwards. Hopper was in front of it. No issues with him living, to me
Yeah, the show has enough couples bickering, and enough "will they, won't they." This was perfect. They were the best subplot, though Erica wore thin as the bully. I'd say the older teen bickering couple was the weakest subplot
The scene also gave a character moment to every other character, as we saw all of their reaction shots
There are a lot of plot holes bugging me. Why did the Russian run from the US facility after attacking Hopper? All he did was confirm his existence. Why did the code say when and where, when every Russian knew when and where already? Why was a steel mill that looked like it had been closed a decade ago have an ad in…
They need an RC truck to put that, uh, mystery green stuff in...
Joyce, in season one, was too unstable. She got things done, but looked ready to break apart. She's grown really well
They were mocking him in the 80s and 90s. They've always been liberal, he's always sucked
And Hopper’s Jaws quote, which incidentally used to be a common AIM away message for me.
Right!?
