Bold prediction: this show will have higher ratings than The Mindy Project by the end of this season. I don't know why, but it seems like a cult hit waiting to happen.

I can get behind this. I've been too busy to keep up with Goon, but I enjoyed all three episodes I saw.
The New Normal, OTOH, is charming but incredibly facile and even grating at times.

Ben and Kate is pretty good too.

Girl Schmitty! is now Tamara on Awkward. I wouldn't write this off for that just yet.

Maddie is 6 in this episode, and if Kate dropped out of college when she got pregnant, that would place her at around 24-25. Ben and Kate can only be six years apart at most, since we saw them attending elementary together at the end of the second ep, so Ben would be around 30-31.

I could see Mindy Project making it to a second season. Ben and Kate's fate is not looking good, though. :(

I feel like there's a fear of anything with genuine emotion in television comedy these days: it's like people need things to be wrapped up in a layer of sarcasm or bitterness for them to feel comfortable about them.

That scene of BJ reassuring her friend was just beautifully done. True-to-life, funny, and uplifting.
This show is still a tad scatterbrained, but every episode has just been wonderful so far—I can't remember the last comedy that, in only three episodes, built a compelling, charming world that I already felt like I was
