The NBC comedy pilots this year have been surprisingly good. I actually really enjoyed Animal Practice. Same problems with tone as Go On, but it's surprisingly poignant and much more low-key than the BROAD BROAD BROAD ads made it seem.

I too have never watched a Matthew Perry show and I really, really liked this pilot. It felt clunky in some of the more forced moments, like Perry's character monologue lecturing everybody, but in other parts it hit buttons that I haven't felt from a TV show since…well, Community's third season.
