The first one wasn’t, by design. So, maybe this one will shock us and be funny? (I liked the first one a lot, but I think it’s just a one-person show, not a stand-up set.)
Is that Timothy Chalamet?
They could have had both, too. And easily.
That’s not my read. Scorsese is a gifted, talented, well-known filmmaker. He also is one who has made movies on the cheap and lavishly. He just has realized he can go for his grandest visions and get funded in this climate rather easily. Up and comers and established filmmakers who don’t want the downsides of…
I doubt Netflix regrets their decision. It’s true that an Oscar win is preferable to a loss, but they dominated the press for months and obtained tons of attention for their nods for the Irishman and other films. They added credibility with the top tier of industry at a time that they were worried about customer shed.…
Fair. The bad writers here blur together, in my defense. The good ones stand out tho. And I kinda wanna write Susan Faludi fanfic. Who should I slash with? Another third wave feminist? Or someone unexpected?
Damnit, now you did it. Someone is masturbating to pictures of the corona virus. Where’s Dikachu?
That’s reassuring. This article just seemed weird. I’m starting to suspect it just makes Sam horny and we’re all dealing. You don’t see me pushing my love affair with Susan Faludi on the world.
No... that word has bothered my brain too. I suspect that part of the (Furry?) fanbase added the musculature to flesh out the fantasy?
The Robin Hood fox is “muscular” and sexy...? What is going on? Am I dead?
What. Is this where furries came from????
It was a hit, but I think my surprise with FH was that the addressable base (people who watched it when it was on) are pretty indifferent to the reboot. My understanding is the base audience of the reboot is weirdly pretty young, i.e. people who never saw the show in the first instance.
I have to say I’m impressed with this guy’s career arc. In the 90s, with Scream in particular, I thought he was a douche who would flame out. And yet, unlike many, he has really matured and expanded in his performances. I think his career will continue to have legs and he’s gonna end up in that weird character…
I mean, it COULD - if the romcom took place in a culture where the bride was getting a forced arranged marriage. Fun script idea! I can see the protests already!
I always liked Monaghan. I think she’s more talented than this movie reflects, but I think she could have crushed the romcom genre. This movie was very mediocre, yet superior to many romcoms of the era because she’s in it and Heigl isn’t.
1oo% true. It was a flawed, beautiful, silly, sometimes deep show. Yet, it was pretty unlike anything I’ve seen on network TV and I wish it had “closure”.
A bit. But also just some standards in series returns. If fucking Full House can come back, this should.
Shouldn’t now be the perfect moment to continue with Last Man on Earth?
For sure. I think we agree that Lalo will burn Jimmy. My point is just this - Lalo won’t get to Kim in time. I think the presence of confusion about real names will be the thing that keeps her alive, but she still flees.
