What?  You’re a pro comedy Trump person?  OMC.

I think, ironically, Jimmy ends up going back to HHM right as things fall apart with Kim and the bar.

Pretty sure it’s similar to what you’re saying but different - the trademark that MV has is invalid. It was known and used by others, and cannot be MV’s distinct designation of origin or source. So, I expect Acker to start a company with MV’s logo, and argue that MV has no valid trademark. This would make Kevin go

My bad, bold prediction for the season - Kim ends up before the ethics board. Only she and Jimmy can’t save her. She loses her license and heads off into the unknown.

1. What was the curry for? It related to the earthenware in the dirt, but how?
2. I loved the episode, especially everything related to Kim. That said, I’m losing sight of Kim’s arc. (Maybe that’s good?) She used to be the steadfast champion of what was right. Now, she seems to have a McGillian view of things - it’s

This is just an elaborate coverup to protect Pete Davidson.  They’ll start back up when he comes down from his high.

Sorta? But it’s gonna be a Gen Zer explaining why The Magicians is better than the Wire or the Sopranos.

Ooh!  And now we can read more pieces critically reassessing TV of the past!

Yeah, it seems like anything with limited scripting is reality, and no it doesn’t make sense.  I think of “reality” as shows that are voyeuristic - watching people do things without a specific end goal.  So, Kardashian stuff, the Bravo stuff, the things I will never watch.

1. I think it was a CRUCIAL episode in establishing the moral universe of Breaking Bad. The plane crash was meant to be a sign from the universe about the massive ramifications of Walt’s actions. His decision to ignore it or explain it away prepared us for the next season when he went fully into the moral quagmire of

“Good” as in a positive development?  No.  But, was it a part of the storyline that worked?  For sure.  I am happy to discuss it further, but I thought it was thematically on point and worked really well.

Are most retail managers secretly drug kingpins (sorry, Lydia, I still don’t know what else he is!)?

Even when they give us clues!  We could have seen the plane crash coming.  We could have seen Gus coming back.

Did anyone else think the skells (as a pair of annoying, wheedling doofs) were meant to evoke the Sklar brothers (the music store owners from season 3)?  Both tried to wheedle Jimmy’s service price to zero.  Last time, Jimmy ended dejected and humiliated.  Here, he puffs up about his skills and grinds them for

I don’t watch those either, but I think they’re different. They’re basically skilled based competition shows, basically classier game shows, right?

As someone who doesn’t engage in any “reality” programming, I don’t really see a big jump from the other stuff to this.  It all seems in morally dubious ground.

This ain’t a defense.  I’m just sick of other people getting passes.  Hit em all up.

This would be an example of a post where, if this were say a movie by Polanski or Allen (or even eventually Louis CK), their horrible past would get referenced. And for whatever reason, for others (like Marky Mark), we just ignore it.  Just saying.

alleged to have sexually harassed and/or assaulted at least three times.  I have yet to hear a response from her side that should survive modern scrutiny.  But we’re all excited she’s pregnant so lol whatever.

Not at all. I’m just annoyed that this site seems to grind axes for 3-4 people and shrugs as others with similarly terrible records put out more works.  I think this site is giving some people a pass for no clear reason except, I think, for the vague notion of “likability”.
