I live in the mountains north of LA and commute ~300 miles per week. The car is excellent in the canyons and back roads, OK on the freeway (you’re low and other drivers have a hard time seeing me - but I’ve ridden motorcycles for over 40 years and can deal with it) but I’d prefer something larger and more low end

Yeah, it took awhile to get used to the steep driveways around here, there is one I avoid because it’ll scrape my tail. I’ve got > 50k and nearly 3 years on mine. It seems that my bumper is ~1 inch lower than most concrete parking stops.

Oh, good luck with that lip spoiler. My BRZ has a s***load of rash on the bumper edge without the parking stop catcher...

Does the Renault Zoe concept include a commode in the drivers seat?

Countless possibilities are available to those with skills. How about this Rx924 I built and drove in the early ‘90’s? It has a 13B with Dellorto carb and 924 turbo 5-speed.

Yes, and this is how it ended on the seabed of the Pacific...

I this one of those abortive flying car articles?

Well, the Swedes had a winner in '74 - even had Napoleon conducting 'Waterloo'.

This curve, north of Altadena.

#6 - Fits tall people. I was pleasantly surprised to fit (6'5") in such a compact car.

Maserati Quattroporte - I think the Italians can make beautiful cars....

Hydraulic transmissions:

Maybe the driver is just stupid - isn't that a disability?

Hood => sled

2 disc rotors, 1 bowling ball and a vise => welding jig

Not Brass - a type of bronze.

Nice article, thanx. I recommend anyone go to the Iowa in San Pedro. My son and I went last year and were quite impressed.

As long as I can pack a diesel/gas charger (or something that could burn redwood ;-) ) on the rear hitch for the longer treks. I'd think that battery range will be a problem with a larger, heavier vehicle.

Are these on the market?
