My favorite Stan Lee character is the one that looks like an old white guy who bumbles his way into every Marvel movie, but is really a Watcher.

I use a Google keep list - the one with check boxes (or you can use any checklist app). In the days and weeks prior to the trip I can quickly add items to it as I think of them. Then I check them off when I pack. As I am leaving the hotel I uncheck everything as I make sure I have it, and this also prepares the list

The android texting feature is nice, but it doesn’t sound as comprehensive as the same feature that google provided a few months ago.

2:18 Eastern Time? I didn’t get anything and my phone was on. Test failed.

I visit a city in Montana that has a road with 8 roundabouts in less than 4 miles. There are two large retirement communities on that road as well. When it is snowy and icy you can grab some popcorn and watch the circus.

There’s a social aspect that is just as important. As kids get older differences seem to get magnified with each passing day, whether it is race, religion, economic status, or even the brand of clothes they wear. Opportunities for bullying rise too. A vegan classmate could be a pretty enticing target for someone with

Good conversation never contains questions that can be answered with a “yes” or a “no” - regardless of age.

TSA approved. Cheap, compact, and easy.

Google Music and Google Photos since they work on all our devices (inc Apple). Every time we buy a movie we rip a copy to our file server, so that’s a few TB. It doesn’t change much and it’s not critical so I just make a copy of the drive periodically and keep it at my office. No point in paying a monthly fee to store

Switch to a separate router and a wireless access point instead of an all-in-one unit. This lets you keep your router and upgrade the wifi without re-doing everything. It’s handy if you have lots of custom settings on your firewall. It also lets you keep your router in one place while the wifi access point(s) are

If companies won’t make the ROMs available to download, at least make them available to buy. I would gladly pay for my favorite ROMs - especially arcade games. I don’t need every ROM under the sun, just let me pay cash for Alien v Predator or NBA Jam.

I have several kids and have been fortunate to not have this problem. But since it seems to be a real problem out there I’m pretty sure that I would get lazy about taking my shoe off - especially since most of my shoes require tying and untying. It’s also difficult in cold snowy weather.

While the traditional graham cracker/chocolate/marshmallow is the best version, little kids have a hard time keeping the layers together when they take a bite. So sometimes we do a quick and easy version. We substitute the chocolate and graham cracker for these:

MI has some of the greatest stunts I’ve ever seen, but that does not make them great movies.

On my last lengthy trip there was indeed a “don’t reroute me” button in Google maps on Android. It basically said “We found a faster route” and then gave me a button to accept it.
And I should have taken its advice. There was a 35 minute construction delay that I would’ve avoided.

In order to get the full nostalgic experience, ours are hooked up to a small 24" LCD and we sit a few feet away from it. Just like the old days. That’s them in the corner.

You can mod them and add whatever you want. We haven’t done ours yet. I would say they are both worth it, even without modding them. I agree with your assessment - the NES has a better library. I’m guessing that most people spend a little time enjoying the nostalgia and then they sit unused.

I was able to get both a Nintendo classic and a SNES classic during the first runs. Getting the nintendo classic at Target was just luck (right place, right time). But I definately wouldn’t have gotten my SNES classic without checking the miniSNES reddit.

Just don’t feed the scalpers on ebay.

Seriously George? Somehow you’ve found something that’s more boring than the Galactic Senate meetings in the prequels.

Interesting - whenever I saw L3-37 I kept thinking the Power Rangers were going to show up:
