I had an '83 GTI just like this except with maroon interior in high school. I loved that car. While $3K is a bit steep it's not entirely unreasonable. Nice price, but barely.

I could easily hunt down eight of these for less money. And, have eight running cars.
I know there's a lot to be said for the weight and efficiency of composites, but it appears the only metallic part on a Karma is the wheels. (Ok... and maybe that chunk of copper in the motors)

I-40 through the Texas Panhandle. Dead straight and glassy smooth concrete. Enough room to run a Veyron out of gas full-out. (Assuming the tires hold up of course)
