I do tons of podcast, but I typically save them for my car ride in and out of work, only doing music during the day as background ‘noise’.

A manual backup isn't much of a backup. I'd rather have to delete what I don't want than remember to save what I do.

it’s a little less necessary with digital b/c when you go through and upload all those photos to your computer, your settings come with it so you can review them there. But yeah, still a good exercise!

I have the same fear but for Western Digital hard drives, until now I have never had issues with Seagate (knock on wood) and recommend them daily, that being said everyone will have different experiences.
