When their subjects (the Northerners) are presented as loyal commonfolk who adhere to a strict code of values, then a Queen who supposedly represents those same values as imbued upon her by her actually-honorable late father is probably a welcome leader. I didn’t find them hailing Sansa as much of a stretch.

That’s fine, but the execution of the dismantling of these typical tropes was done very, very well in seasons 1-6, and very, very poorly in seasons 7 and 8. That’s why people were upset. I would have been fine with the same choices being made by the characters in those last two seasons if they had played out in a way

If Daenerys had just flown Drogon right into the tower and burned Cersei and everyone in the castle, that would’ve been fine. But then they couldn’t have squeezed in Sandor vs. Gregor, they couldn’t have had the dumb Jaime and Cersei reunion, and people would have still liked Dany, but they needed to make her the

There was a Ryan Adams bootleg my friend had around 2004-2005 where someone yelled that at his show so Ryan started playing the chords and made up his own lyrics along the lines of, “There’s no way he wrote that song/Mother-fucker’s only 45.” It was funny.

Bad News Brown vs. Roddy Piper took place in 1990, not 2005 when both were long-retired from active in-ring careers.

Greg Kinnear would probably do well!

Strahan is the host of the #1 morning show on TV. To leave that for a syndicated game show gig would be a step down, I would think. He’s great on Pyramid, though.

Agreed. He has the same calm energy as Alex and the same quick timing and understated wit. The pacing of the show felt exactly like it did with Alex when Mike hosted; none of the other guest hosts have felt “right” like he ddid.

Did you WATCH Alex Trebek? He definitely gave off that, “ooh, sorry, no, actually THIS was the correct answer (and yes, I knew that myself)“ kind of vibe on a very regular basis. Ken was fine, I liked when the Executive Producer hosted though, he had the best timing of any of the guests so far. Couric was decent too.

Now playing

He’s very funny during the Porno Password scene in The Cable Guy. “I would’ve said shlong!”

The Adam and Pops relationship on that show has been the most heartwarming familial relationship on TV and I am going to be fucking devastated when they have to write Pops off the show. God damn. I feel for the whole cast and this loss.

Exactly. I had a few “friends” I went to college with who started getting really defensive with their posts about certain accusations once these stories all broke and then a lot of them deleted social media shortly thereafter and it wasn’t hard to figure out why that was the case.

Agreed. Aside from Gladiator, which she was great in, all I can recall is her being one of Lars Ulrich’s ex-wives.

Kane and X-Pac were a great odd-couple pairing too.

She’s the youngest SURVIVING Stark.

That’s the thing, if he’s targeted who he perceives to be sex workers, the fact that he went for ASIAN MASSAGE WORKERS itself is very, very racist.

Did you just #notallracists in a discussion about racism?

That’s the simple question that most of these people can never explain, or when they do explain it, that’s when it gets into their REALLY crazy beliefs. Like Flat Earthers, on the surface, sound like they do their research, they don’t believe NASA, etc. and they want to know for themselves. Then you ask them why NASA

Didn’t McCurdy say some stuff? And conveniently she’s the one who’s out of the business now?

I didn’t read every book but all I know about Nymeria is that she was badass enough for Arya to name her puppy after her.
