Despite all the people who bring up free speech any time they get mildly criticized, a government permitting process is actually a free speech issue.
The person you’re talking to doesn't think the ACLU is a good thing, and that a government entity can discriminate on speech and win the lawsuit. He's an anti-free speech absolutist, which I didn't think was a thing.
Its amazing to me that so many people can look at whose running the country and decide that that person should have the power to criminalize speech.
This is literally the go to example of how the government can't pick and choose speakers based on their message. So I can't wait for the rants about how the ACLU is evil and Boston isn't actually the government.

So he was fired because he openly made clear he thinks the team president is an abomination, burned most of his bridges, the team went on a rampage immediately after getting rid of him, and dominated the league. Clearly blackballing.
