Pick One Blade?
Pick One Blade?
I’m betting on digitally enhanced Vadering. Leia is badly injured but kept alive with technology to finish whatever work must be done. Then, her final mission complete, she slips away gracefully.

I unstarred just so I could star again for that lovely alliteration.
Plus all the weird family dynamic that would create with her son.
I’ve been thinking about it and I think the best way they could recast would be by Vadering Leia: terribly injured but saved by technological wizardry and raw determination to live because people are depending on her. It seems like that would be the least jarring way in terms of the narrative to keep the character but…
I can see it now.
Luke: “Oh quit complaining, I had to carry MY master around as part of MY training.”
Force Ghost Yoda: “Why your nephew turned to the dark side, you wonder?”
Oh, I introduced him to some much better genre shows!
There’s a huge spectrum of technology between pre-industrial and multi-planet civilizations.
As someone who’s lived semi-detached from the grid for a fair portion of my youth, I agree!
Weekly, unfortunately.
Come to think of it, that’s probably part of my disconnect is having read so much good military space opera over the years. Good leadership would have instituted strict martial law, and started training civilian passengers, and sorted the supply chain and crew rotations fleet-wide as soon as possible. None of that…

Indoor plumbing, climate control and advanced medical care?
No thanks, I’ll just go live in a mud hut!
Yes!
The Battlestar Galactica remake. My husband quite liked the show; I wanted all but maybe one or two characters to die a quick and merciful (to me) death. This is despite the fact that I am a huge fan of many of the genre actors they had over the course of the show.
Something could happen to Leia off-screen. (Or better yet, Leia could happen to someone, thus saving the day one last time.)
But she has a bestie we haven’t yet seen who’s been with her for years and takes up her standard to righteously kick some ass in her name.
Nah, Coulson’s better off out of the limelight.
Aziz....LIIIIGHT! (Said in my household any time a bulb needs to be changed or a flashlight deployed.
Once seen, can’t unsee! I adore the use of color and texture in this movie. Especially that so much of the futuristic gear is well distressed and believably “old”.
