The gerrymandering is definitely a major part of it. I won’t pretend we don’t have a hearty share of idiots, but I think many people from outside would be surprised at the decency of the general population.

It interests me that so many people don’t change their sheets regularly due to issues with washing them. It leaves me wondering if I’m a weirdo for having 3-4 sets of sheets for each bed.

It doesn’t help that my local polling place is literally inside a nursing home. People say the elderly tend to vote for “conservative” candidates for many other reasons, but I suspect they’re actually getting their revenge for the conditions in the homes.

I promise, there are intelligent, non-skeevy people in Texas. You just wouldn’t know it by who gets elected.

Gasp! Refused to say the PoA! I don’t say it either because it strikes me as bordering on idolatry.

You can even buy human bones online. I know a chiropractor who has a real human spine on his desk.

Exactly!

I had a professor in my freshman English class who married one of his students...after she asked him out a year after she was in his class. It turned out that he had developed a huge crush on her during that semester, but didn’t want to be inappropriate. :3 They were a ridiculously sweet couple and had been together

When I was a kid back in the 80s we had a 1970s VW Microbus that was previously owned by a semi-professional clown. It had many strange bumper stickers. It was actually used mostly as a ranch truck for hauling feed hither and yon. They eventually traded it in for a regular car. I miss the Ol’ Breadloaf.

That doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be below “market rate” housing in all areas. Think about it, if all the different levels of housing had a small percentage of units available at “affordable” or “assistance” rates that are functional and pleasant, but maybe not as fancy as the market-rate ones or lacking views, etc.,

Embarasing political news that’s not from TEXAS!

This is why affordable and assisted housing needs to be intermixed instead of separate developments/communities.
But no, people don’t want to be anywhere near those of a“lower class” than themselves...except for when they are useful.

Then again, having child support far in arrears can be helpful in some cases. A gal I know was able to get her emotionally abusive (but not abusive enough to lose visitation with the poor kid) ex to give up all parental rights in return for dropping all future child support payments. Since he was only insisting on

Dudes, this is where a little procedure called a vasectomy is a wise investment. If you’re on the hook for child support already and are sure you don’t want more kids, get it done. The no-needle and no knife procedure is uncomfortable, but not painful like to old surgery and will save you SO MUCH MONEY and hassle in

I just want to find tops that will go with my bras. With a G cup on a small torso, there are only a few styles that keep the girls in check so my neckline and sleeve options are pretty limited.

Calm? Ha! She’s a fool who’s lucky that’s a well trained horse. Yelling right in the horse’s face and touching/grabbing/pushing/slapping is never a good idea. I couldn’t see her hand the entire time on the video so I can’t be 100% sure of the motion. But last time I saw someone getting in a horse’s face like that,

It can be done. The sort of training done with cavalry horses back in the olden days did include some pretty wicked offensive maneuvers (similar to what you see with dressage leaps, but less fancy). Sch things wouldn’t be useful for modern policing since you’ve a good chance of harming your horse or

Don’t look at me! I voted for Ministry of Filth.

I like it. The seas are already full of big ships with macho, aspirational and tribute names.

“King David’s Spaceship” by Jerry Pournelle is close to that...
