I think the individual troops are only as good as their leaders. If you have parents running them who want to make sure everyone is included and has a good time, it’s going to be positive for most. When I was in an apartment, I was able to grow peppers and basil on my patio. It might take some experimenting, but I bet you could find some herbs and small veggies that would thrive there.
It’s a suburban neighborhood (chosen for good schools), and livestock is 100% out of the question...even house chickens. But kiddo is a senior in HS next year so our next move will be more about the house and land...I have a pinterest board all stocked up with cool chicken run ideas...

So weird, I’ve gone to Whole Foods off and on my whole life and can’t recall being charged the wrong price...except for the one time the cashier accidentally scanned the barcode for the entire wheel of cheese....we had a good laugh at the idea of $500 for the teeny little wedge.

Another great thing about HEB is that they’re really good about obtaining and clearly-labeling “Made in Texas” stuff. Texas Peaches, Texas Citrus, and even Texas Potatoes!
