I'd get a 4x4 with a tow package because we'd be going camping every summer and skiing every winter. There are a couple of those in the ~25k range that I'd look at and then eventually settle for a Jeep, probably.
You're leaving out the graphic incestuous molestation scenes in at least two episodes. That's the kind of thing that would put the average person off of watching this series by itself.
What, so landing craft are too good for them? Nah, that's stage 2. Stage 1 they want trucks that can cross rivers. I think I'd just take a 6x6 MRAP, give it giant paddle wheels and call it a day.
I have to wonder if they didn't deliberately cover it up until the bankruptcy erased their liabilities.
I was trapped on a bus for several hours during a severe snowstorm once, but I think I'll save my grievance for the disabled: people are assholes when they encounter someone who needs assistance to use public transportation.
